  How would you define RELIGION, and why?

  "judge" rutherford defined or classified all religion as "a snare and a racket" in his books "religion" and "enemies".. after rutherford's death in 1942, his protege, watchtower vice president, and aclu darling, hayden c. covington, in the early 1950's, for reasons of legal expedience and supremacist aspirations, suddenly converted the watchtower into a religion.. this was done alongside one of the most audacious, spurious and longstanding swindles of the us legal system.

  this involved twisting philippians 1:7 and misrepresenting the watchtower's true nature, objectives and activities.. .

  this meant that it became necessary for the watchtower to suddenly reclassify and redefine religion (w51 1/15 p. 43 new legal booklet well named; w51 8/15 p. 511 questions from readers; yb75 p. 161 part 2 "for gladys bolton...").. two new watchtower classifications were suddenly created: "true religion" and "false religion".. now "true religion" meant "true beliefs" whilst "belief" in ever changing watchtower doctrine was equated with the one "faith" of scripture.. all this while the watchtower increasingly and maliciously truncated, obfuscated and hid the liberating full "good news" (or unabridged gospel) of scripture, which it lyingly claimed (in court) that it was actually "defending and legally establishing".. how would you have defined religion before learning ttatt?.

  my friend's daughter, who was baptized at 14, has decided to leave the witnesses.

  she's in her early 20's.

  she's stopped going to meeting a while ago and moved in with her father who is disfellowshipped.

  When these goons went after hubby, they had stalked him and sat outside our gates for over three hours one Saturday morning. The one elders grandmother had just passed away the night before but sitting outside our gates the next morning was more important than maybe consoling other family members. My husband told them that he was glad that it's Christ that does the judging and not them and walked away waving bye bye Babylon the Great! They yelled at him that he was df'd and called him an apostate and then went back to the hall and met with the other elder. They had their special meeting for three hours to decide wheather to df him or not. Umm,,, no they needed to put in some time and that was it.

  If she doesn't care then don't go. The elders are disgusting when they have an agenda. They will lie and slander her reputation. With me they made me sit through six hours of BS. (because I let them for recording purposes)If she does go then record it. I've had more fun pissing these jack asses off. Just make sure when they ask that there be no tape recorder, she turns around and nods her head no as she says yeah yeah for the recorder. My elder just babbled on as though I didn't have one on me.That way if you use it in court then at least on the tape it looks like she had already warned them a head of time that she was taping them.

  I recently called the one idiot elder and reminded him about what he had said at my jc. Supposedly I was suppose to have hit a sister who I had confronted in the grocery store and she said she didn't say that plus she wasn't at my jc to accuse me. The elder said it was all in my head and that he never said that. I told him I have it on tape and then his tone changed and he was extremely polite. I love it!

  I'm putting a letter together for the one newspaper. You see, the head hauncho's at bethel tried lying to my face denying ever saying to bring my letter of complaint into bethel. I brought in my transcript and now those idiots are scared. They asked me not to go public with it but I am. Just be careful and don't let those goons get away with anything.

  When I listened to the recording afterwards, I had no memory on some of the things that were said and realised how much they wanted us out by the way they were setting up their drama. Real amateurs at best:) Even the accusers who were kids, later made elders couldn't get their stories straight.

  I just passed the videos onto my seventy year old sister who gave her whole life to this wretched org. Her words were she is floored and just can't believe this. She said none of this glorifies Jehovah but only glamorises him and stumbles others. She is shocked. Thank you everyone for this. This is the kind of information I need to send to my sister and to get her out of this horrid nightmare. Bit by bit she is waking up but it seems to be taking for ever. I hope this is the bullet that bites the dust for her but I doubt it.

  At one time the CO would leave it up to the BOE to decide for themselves on any decisions that would be made, at least that's what our CO said to me about my so called public reproving. That if all the BOE's agree, then, he can't interfere.

  I find this amusing in the least. You see, our Cobe is the biggest arrogant person you would want to meet. I could see these elders wanting to keep him on but now they have no say. It's up to the CO to add or delete elders. But now not even the CO has any say in the matter.

  All this label licking to become something in this cult while abusing others in the process. Looks good on all of them. They are getting their rewards in full. They have no voice in anything whether a CO, Cobe, Elder, Ministerial Servant or Pioneer.

  The do not call list

  i have posted before about my experience trying to get on the "do not call" list.

  despite repeated requests, a phone call to the hall and mailing a letter, and then giving a copy to a jw, they just keep coming by.

  i was going to put up a no soliciting sign, then i can call the police on them, but my husband doesn't want me to do it.. so, i decided if they come back i would have some fun.

  Midday Vent

  i know that this is a statement of the obvious, but i am wasting my time trying to have an honest discussion with my in-law witnesses.. it is absolutely amazing.

  they are otherwise intelligent, rational, honest people.

  however if you get remotely close to a subject that requires that they evaluate their beliefs or challenge the witness policy, they will repeatedly dodge it, twist it, or otherwise ignore it.

  My sister is seventy years old and gave her whole life to the org.(pioneered and special pioneered since she was sixteen). She could always see through the faults of the elders and not link their hypocracy and favortism to the cult's doctrinal training. I tried dropping a few little bombs her way and the first time she said I was shaking her faith and hung up. She wouldn't answer her phone for almost eight months.

  Recently, I told her to show me where it reads new scrolls. I told her about all the new changes and the one about tithing. I could read her the first page and then she didn't want to hear anything negative anymore. What was negative was the letter that I was reading her and it offended her but somehow she linked the negativity back to the one that was reading it which was me. I never run down the org for then she would take it as though I was insulting her. I told her it wasn't negative what I was reading but just the four page letter from the society . I could only read the second page and she made me stop. A month later she asked me if I could send her all the governing body letters that I have been reading and if I could send her all the society's publications from when they started to now. I did. She sent me a message saying thank you for your hard work of researching but I don't think I will pursue this any further. I'm hoping she is reading them all. I even sent her the elders manual.

  This is a gal who never got married and lives alone on welfare assistance. She lives on six hundred dollars per month. She has no one. She already told me that she knows my husband is a good man but she has to follow theocratic procedure. (He's df'd) This just breaks my heart how she will let me go so far in helping her like sending her money to help her out and information on this cult but then runs and hides. Her health is really poor but refuses to come and let us look after her.

  I really do feel for you and I get it. Our hands are tied for the moment.
